Lambertville, NJ: Rago Auctions is running an internet only timed auction exclusively on Bidsquare featuring WWII aviation art. The auction starts on May 12 and ends on Wednesday, May 20. This single owner collection consists of 113 lots of lithographs by artist Nicolas Trudgian, depicting aviation and other military scenes from WWII.

Artist Nicolas Trudgian specializes in aviation, military and transport art. His work features accurately portrayed aircrafts and other transportation vehicles set against highly detailed and carefully rendered landscapes. Born in 1959 in Plymouth, England, he was highly influenced by the Royal Naval dockyards at Devonport and by the stories his parents told of the war years. Art College trained him in many disciplines including illustration, air brushing, engineering drawing, photography and printing. He has worked as both an independent artist, as well as a commercial artist, painting for some of the big names in industry including Ferrari, Jaguar, Ford, General Motors, Alfa Romeo as well as oil exploration, shipping and construction companies, and Rolls Royce, British Aerospace, and many military equipment manufacturers. His works have been sought after by collectors demanding accurate and detailed renderings of actual war events, and many of his pieces have been signed by the pilots, veterans from Britain, America and Germany. He has published several volumes featuring his paintings and continues with his work to date.
