Cry Out To Jesus 150 Years Of Freedom To Worship Exhibit

July 10th, 2015 - Fort Worth, Te

MEET THE ARTIST JULY 18th

2015 African Americans celebrate 150 Years of Freedom to Worship God! Johnson's poignant Juneteenth Salute art video was created just days before nine lives were taken in the midst of worship. Visit his website jjsanointedhands.com

John Johnson's complete Juneteenth 2015 exhibit is up in the Ella Mae Shamblee Library in Fort Worth Texas for the entire month of June and July. Get his art, video and his book at jjsanointedhands.com

When June 19th came we shifted from property to persons, we didn't have to hide our worship, we could name our children, marry and establish families to God's glory and not master's wallet. We were free to own property, build communities, learn on wider levels. Juneteenth teaches us many lessons. At year 150 let us learn that celebration really began when all slaves were freed.

"The African American can do better in many ways to be free; but at the 150 year marker; on Juneteeth 2015 we did a great job celebrating our freedom to worship God."

Special Thanks to Carter Metropolitan CME Church of Fort Worth, Texas. John did his first art show at church in Carter in the late 1970's.
