I absolutely love this photo of Hazel. My first visit to the Smoky Mountains was in April 2017. I have been searching for a black bear photo for years and this one stole my heart. This beautiful girl was photographed the same year. I am very pleased with the canvas print!!

Artist's Description
I changed the title of this piece after a wonderful dream I had. While I have had my share of romantic dreams this one was different. In this dream I was in my later years walking with my true love. I don't know if the couple actually in this image were high school sweethearts or they had taken many detours before the found each other but regardless if life's path is a straight line or a somewhat more complicated and circuitous route, they are exactly where they are supposed to be and at this point in my life; so am I.
About JC Findley
A little about me: I was raised a military brat and lived all around the US growing up. I went to Auburn University then joined the Air Force upon graduation. In the Air Force I flew B-1B bombers, T-37 and T-38 trainers, KC-135s and taught counter terrorism CQC defensive tactics for aircrews. I retired from the Air National Guard after 21 years of service. I was also an airline pilot for Midwest Airlines where I flew DC-9s, MD-80s and Boing 717s. All of Midwest's flight-crews were outsourced in 2008 and now I make my living selling art and various other jobs in the Dallas Fort Worth area. Thank you all for the kind words. While life can be hard I do believe that we end up exactly where we are supposed to be. For every difficult situation we must live through, there is something wonderful waiting on the other side even if we can't see it anymore. Sometimes we just have to drive forward into the darkness but we have to remember to keep on going until we do see the light and we come out the other side and that is when we can finally take the time to walk hand in hand down the beach.
