Description
If you can manage an early trip to the Fisherman's Bastion in the Castle Hill district in Budapest, you can get a lovely framed shot of the Pest side of the river Danube with the Parliament building in the background. It is just 9 am when this was taken with some nice warm sunrise light. But wait too long and the tour buses will be there! This is one spot where all those people off the buses will want their picture taken so get up early and be quick! The Fisherman's Bastion is a terrace in neo-Gothic and neo-Romanesque style situated on the Buda bank of the Danube, on the Castle hill in Budapest, around Matthias Church. Although you can fool yourself into thinking it is ancient, it was designed and built between 1895 and 1902.
