"The Watch" photographed by Robin Erisman. This photograph was taken at Squaw Creek Wildlife and Conservation Area, located near Mound City, Missouri. This eagle sat on a beaver lodge watching the snow geese. The eagles would soar in every so often and grab one of the snow geese to eat. The snow geese are migrating to this area, and usually will stay around December and part of January.

We went to Squaw Creek Thanksgiving Weekend. I hear there are still 200,000 snow geese there. This is such a wonderful capture with the eagle and he snow geese in the background! f/v
