This is the most beautiful painting! I feel lucky and blessed that I came across it! My husband and I honeymooned in Mo’orea and we had taken many pictures in front of this church. To find that Greg Collins painted it was such a joy! We will treasure it forever!

I was super-pleased with my photo print purchase! Like many people, I’m sure, when making online purchases there’s always just a little voice of skepticism in the back of my mind. I knew I liked the image, but had to roll the dice that it would look good in person, the frame would be adequate, etc. I must say it exceeded even my hopeful expectations! First of all, the packing was stellar. The photo print did look great in person, and the framing was WAY better than I was expecting! It was ready to go with a sturdy hanging wire already in place. Unfortunately it was a gift, so I don’t have a photo of it on my wall! I did, however, open and inspect it before wrapping it and re-shipping (in the same stellar packing!). I would easily recommend FineArtAmerica and will happily shop with them again in the future…worry free!

Artist's Description
Painted in 1901, this portrait of his eldest daughter Suzanne at work on a wall decoration while someone else is busy working on the outside of the house it typical of Swedish artist Carl Larsson (1853-1919)'s affectionate chronicling of domestic life in Sweden in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Larsson moved to Paris in 1877, where he became a part of the Scandinavian artists' colony outside the city. It was here that he met his wife-to-be, artist and interior designer Karin Bergoo. Bergoo's father gave the couple a small house, Little Hyttnas, in Sundborn, Sweden, which they decorated themselves according to their artistic tastes. It also became the backdrop for the series of delightful portraits and scenes from family life for which Larsson is probably best known. A classic of the Swedish arts & crafts movement, Little Hyttnas has been preserved for posterity and is a popular tourist destination.
