Where I hope to be sitting once I have passed. Where do ideas come from? Sometimes I don't know why I paint something, or what it means, but I get the idea and I just try to put it down. I see this as illustrating that. Shadows from old paintings move across the back wall, while the DEAD but still painting artist shows off the latest finished work. I don't do these for money or fame, but because I have to paint what I see, indeed I just have to paint every day. But I want BOTH money and fame, because they would be a measurable justification that these paintings meant something.
A starving artist deserves a great presentation so he can eat. Make it a canvas the size he is painting; about 20 x 30. Or if you want to encourage an artist in your life with something special, buy some of his art, and present him with a framed print of this @ 11.3 x 16 with a beautiful Avocado mat.
And at these prices no one starves.
