As I struggle with my wife's dementia, this is how I see how I feel. Alzheimer's robs you of the memories of those you love, so the girl is a loved one, wife or daughter, who has a precious memory she has placed in a bottle, but her dad or husband has slipped beneath the murky waters, and while still there, the gulf can not be crossed.
