I searched high and low to figure out what the color the inside this ship looked like. I was about to give up when someone one another site pointed out that this is the top of the ship. They are on the main deck and those are the life boats they are all under. This boat had many paint jobs, but the first one was a mucky yellow color.

The sailors, I was disappointed to find out that the ribbons around their necks (the neckerchief), wasn't red like I was hoping for, they were actually black. They were used as a sweat rag, and made of black silk. Black was used to hide dirt. But if you colorize, you look for shades, and the ribbon looked like it should be brighter than the rest of it, but its made of silk, and it reflected more light. I thought it was interesting, but it still had to be black.
