Description
I love South Pasadena. Mission Street is small town America at the outskirts of Los Angeles. Ever read any Ray Bradbury stories? Yeah. That's the feel of the place. The Mix 'n' Munch cafe for your breakfast cereal and grilled cheese, Busters for coffee in the morning. The Battery Used Books store with cool stuff out on the street.
It's maybe a 15-20 minute drive on a good day to Sunset Boulevard in Echo Park. On the Gold line Metro, you're about 15-20 minutes from Union Station, downtown LA. This place is a blast!
And this guy, in the picture, is a sculpture that I think of as The South Pas Strut. I don't have a clue to what it's really named. It's just a happy piece of public art that always puts a smile on my often jaded mug.
