Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….
The Sanctuary is a scene painted from life at a family lake home in Northern Wisconsin. It is a place with no schedules, where everyone can do what they want. It is a peaceful escape from the daily grind. It is challenging to capture the light and shadows as time has to be compressed into one moment.
William Bukowski is a Midwest painter, born in Wisconsin and living in Minnesota. He is a longtime art professor at Bethany Lutheran College in Mankato. Bukowski paints from everyday experiences and tries to convey the universal joy in relaxation, family time and quiet reflection in the landscape. He has artwork in many private and public collections including: the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art, the Minneapolis Children's Hospital, the St. Paul Children's Hospital, Bethany Lutheran College, Worthington Art Center, Waseca Art Center, and Pathstone Living facility.
