Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

The Prothonotary Warbler (Prothonotaria citrea), a member of family Parulidae, is a large, plump species with a large head, short legs, long bill, and broad tail. Most distinctive is its bright golden-yellow colored head and breast and mostly white undertail. The Prothonotary Warbler is typically found in wooded swamps, usually near water, in the Eastern United States. It measures about 5.5 inches in length and 0.56 ounces in weight.
This Prothonotary Warbler singing while perched on a branch at the Magee Marsh was photographed in the morning on 5-16-2023. Magee Marsh is located east of Toledo, Ohio on the southern shore of Lake Erie, and is a major stopover of migrating warblers during spring migration. I used a Nikon Z9 camera body and a Nikkor 500mm f/5.6E PF ED VR telephoto lens to capture this image. Settings: 1/3200 sec, f/5.6, ISO 2500.
I am honored that my photograph was featured in the Fine Art America groups:
