Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….
The Pine Warbler (Setophaga pinus), a member of the family Parulidae, is commonly found in pine forests in the eastern United States. They measure about 5.5 inches in length and about 0.42 ounces in weight. They are mostly yellow, and have olive upper parts, yellow throat and chest, mild yellow eyerings, white belly, and double white wingbars. They are generally found high in pines, foraging for insects, but also eat seeds and berries.
This adult male Pine Warbler was photographed at the Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary in southwest Florida, close to the Everglades on 3-14-2019. I used a Nikon D850 camera body and a Nikon 500mm f/4.0E FL ED VR lens to capture this image. Settings: 1/800 sec, f/5.6, ISO 2500. This Sanctuary located in Collier County, managed by the National Audubon Society since 1955, covers about 17 square miles of wetlands and large stands of bald cypress.
