All along the Pacific Coastline, we find very unusual formations, sometimes we pick a beach as we travel up the coast, stop and sit for hours. Especially in places where there are rocks, with the waves breaking on them.

Many times we have brought a tape recorder, with a Shotgun Mike, which reaches out and picks up the sounds. Then I make a 30 minute tape, which we play in an automatic reversing tape player.

When we lived in noisy places in the cities, would leave it running at a background level all night. It blends with the noises of the city, and is much more relaxing so we sleep deeper and sounder during the night.
