In the historic heart of New Orleans we can comprehend the beauty of graceful balconies and galleries with their lacy ironwork and ornamental gardens. Some of the Big Easy's balconies look like jungles, some are sophisticated with furniture and ceiling fans, and others are filled with flowers and a random collection of items backed by the colorful walls of the homes.
NOLA is a gardener's paradise. For generations, residents from wildly varied cultures and sensibilities have been at work creating magnificent gardens on lovingly tended private balcony, patio, and mansion grounds, interwoven with many traditions in this bewitching city's landscape heritage. Often impossibly green and sometimes idiosyncratic balcony gardens are the place where you pull up a chair and kick back after a long day in the sun.
N'awlins southern homes are very impressive indeed. Lovely. Fragrant. Lush. Seductive. Can these words describe any city other than New Orleans?
