Description
12 long legged meadow green and yellow grasshoppers, Chorthippus curtipennis, face each other in 6 pairs. They rest on a mosaic Navajo Native American inspired geometric pattern made up of 7 stacked squares and formed by outlines of smaller squares with combined colors of yellow, lavender, green, blue and aqua. A lime green background with a surrounding outer ring of a repeating pattern of a blue and green alternating âTâsâ design completes this summer meadow Navajo grasshopper nature mandala. This is part of a growing collection of animal and plant images I have created inspired by this indigenous artform that also includes multiple butterflies, moths, and birds. Celebrate nature and visit phelpsmandala.com for many more images to bring the joy and beauty of biodiversity into your home for children and adults.
