Imagine my delight when I encountered this beautiful doe with her twin fawns.
photographed in the upcountry of the National Bison Range, Montana.
The Mule Deer (named for its large ears) is indigenous to western North America.
the most notable difference between Mule Deer and Whitetail are the size of their ears and the colour of their tails. The Mule Deer tail is black tipped.
