Description
Rock And Roll, has always been a very important part of my life. I wanted to be a rock star in the worst way when I was a teenager. To be on stage playing lead guitar while the crowd went crazy was my main goal at that point in my life. I have several Guitars and have learned to play them somewhat.
The ability to play guitar did not come as easily to me as the ability to do artwork. Although I must say the feeling of satisfaction from being a visual graphic artist, has some of the same reactions from people that I believe most Musical artist might get from being a musician.
This drawing of Mick Jagger lead singer of the Band called The Rolling Stones, is the second piece of Mick Jagger in this same pose. I named this Mick in Pencil, because I did the portrait "Mick In Motion II in acrylic because I do so many pencil drawing I wanted to do something different. The truth is I wanted to do a pencil drawing to begin with. Another portrait of mick Jagger named "Mick In Motion" is done in black and whit using ink. The other portrait is the only color portrait, done in marker named Keith Richards..
I decided to start this art with the idea to finish the art in one night regardless to how I felt about the quality. I have done this before, mainly at my job as a sign painter, when the boss would tell me not to spend much time when painting a pictorial scene. I found that when I do this I seem to be happier with the results.
I would like to believe that I work better under pressure, but I think that like most artists I tend to overwork my art. I like the quick art it seems to show more emotion..
