Description
This drawing began when rather than throw away an old piece of drawing board that had been used on the wall next to my art table. It was meant to protect the wall from splattering paint and overspray from air brush artwork.
Since I have always been a big fan of the music I decided to make something out the drawing board that looked like a dirty old wall. I actually drew the face and the words Pink Floyd The Wall were an after thought..
Music has always been a big influence to my art, Movies have also played a major roll as well. The Wall is the eleventh studio album by the English progressive rock group Pink Floyd. Released as a double album on 30 November 1979, it was performed live with elaborate theatrical effects, and adapted into a feature film, Pink Floyd – The Wall.
This was when I was a senior in high school getting ready to go off to college and live on my own for the first time ever. The album and movie were based on Syd Barrett. Pink's life experiences begin with the loss of his father during the Second World War, and continue with ridicule and abuse from his schoolteachers, an overprotective mother and finally, the breakdown of his marriage. All contribute to his eventual self-imposed isolation from society, represented by a metaphorical wall
The album was one of the best selling of 1980, and as of 1999, it had sold over 23 million RIAA certified units (11.5 million albums) in the United States. Rolling Stone magazine placed The Wall at number 87 on its list of The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.
The music and story behind it were a reflection of my own life in many ways,
Thanks for looking at my art work

Working as a psychotherapist, the only one in CA who guaranteed that if I didnt help in the way the client wanted when they came to me, that Id refund their money as long as they came for at least 12 sessions. (No client ever asked for their money back) One young woman brought me the album as a gift. She said, 'I feel like you are tearing down the Wall, one brick at a time." So this also has special meaning for me. Always Enjoy seeing interesting artwork. with unique subjects or ideas and interpretation or presentation. . . . ..
