Description
During the 2007 DragonCon in Atlanta, Georgia., my artwork was on Display with Tim Turner's company Ghoulish Gallery, Changing Portraits. After putting the word out on Myspace about the display, one of the special guests at the event got in touch with me, and after telling me his enjoyment of my work, invited me to join him and his family that evening to chat. That guest was none other than Peter Mayhew (aka: Chewbacca from Star Wars). Unfortunately, I wasn't at the convention, just my artwork, so no luck. He did allow me to use him an my artwork, so I made this piece, not realizing that he is a big fan of the whole Western thing. His wife let me know that they were blown away by the finished works (there are two I made for them). I got the western idea after seeing a photo of him wearing a cowboy hat.
