Description
The center “crown” of the magnolia blossom is made up of “carples” and stamen that are absolutely beautiful on the first day of the bloom.
This photo was taken on April 19th, 2009 with a Canon EOS 10D with a Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro prime lens. The shutter speed was 1/45th sec at f/11, no flash, ISO 400. A Manfrotto tripod was used on a ladder (try that sometime) with a remote shutter release.
