Description
This innocent park bench had been hijacked by a ruthless horde of tulips.
I was told that the bench had been released by its captors, before the onset of fall, but is currently living in constant fear of the approaching spring season.
The image was captured in Brandon Park, in the heart of Williamsport, Pennsylvania, USA on April 26th, 2008.
This photo was shot with a Canon EOS 10D DSLR through a Canon EF 35-135mm USM lens at 35mm focal length, f/5.6 at 1/500 sec, ISO 100.

Interesting capture and cute title! Go to the caretakers of the park, show them the pic and see if can convince them to give you permission to 'thin them out for them" and you'll gladly give them a home in your yard....you never know, they might just say yes! It's better than visitors sitting on the bench and destroying them. V
Gene Walls replied:
Thanks a bunch, Terri! Actually, the caretakers moved this bench to the edge of the flower bed last year, so it's no longer in the middle of the tulips. I was a bit disappointed, but the move made sense. Kindest wishes, Gene

This is brilliant. The bench actually stands out even though it is surrounded by colorful tulips! l/v
Gene Walls replied:
Kindest thanks, Anita! I tried to catch similar shots here many times, but they moved the bench to a different spot. At least I captured this view when while the tulips were growing up through the seat. Best wishes, Gene
