Thank you, Cathy, for the kind words. I achieved the effect using a texture program within a basic photo editing software called Pic Monkey (http://www.picmonkey.com) -- I access it through my SmugMug account. The particular texture selected mottled the edges and the color was achieved through adjusting levels until I achieved the desired look.
