Description
Rock And Roll, has always been a very important part of my life. I wanted to be a rock star in the worst way when I was a teenager. To be on stage playing lead guitar while the crowd went crazy was my main goal at that point in my life. I have several Guitars and have learned to play them somewhat.
The ability to play guitar did not come as easily to me as the ability to do artwork. Although I must say the feeling of satisfaction from being a visual graphic artist, has some of the same reactions from people that I believe most Musical artist might get from being a musician.
I gave up on my quest to be a rock star! So now I get a great feeling from drawing and painting the stars that I have admired my whole life. The Rolling Stones Is one of the only bands that have survived and are still preforming today. The fact that Keith Richards is still alive after the long history of drug use is amazing!
I recently uncovered a box in the back of my closet that had about fifty drawings and paintings that I had done and almost forgotten about. This is one of the drawings that I found.
The fact that The Rolling Stones are still preforming, makes me feel justified in the time and effort that it took to create this artwork. I wanted to show the glassy eyed, stoned look that Keith always seem to have.
I have also had my struggles with addiction and I can appreciate the strength it takes to survive as long as Keith Richards has.
Thanks for taking a look at my artwork.
