Description
Fishermen along the south shore of Nova Scotia, Canada, face many high winds, gales and hurricanes off the Atlantic Ocean. Every village, like this one at Bush Island, one of the LeHave Island group, has a number of old shacks, storage sheds, or workshops which are prone to wind damage. With typical ingenuity, these folks have braced this workshop with sturdy poles on all sides, cut from the local forest, and guaranteed to withstand many more onslaughts of wild weather.

Much appreciated Randy..those people have faced the ocean weather for close to 300 years and they've managed to cope with it all. A wonderful breed of home-spun ingenuity and determination!

Awesome capture of this unique phenomenon, George, as we all are not aware of what these people go through to keep their livelihood alive! Thanks for sharing, not only the great capture, but your description of the scene is very astonishing, to say the least! Great job, my friend, and thanks for sharing all your info and captures and talents with us all. It is greatly appreciated!
