Description
Even though I enjoy creating abstract-art using three-dimensional forms, I’ve decided to create beautiful 2D-patterns and call them “Visual Music Series.” In the Visual Music paintings, I’m only going to focus on shapes, colors and patterns instead of expressing any meanings or concepts.
This is my first Visual Music painting. In my opinion, naming an artwork is like naming one’s child. I mean it’s not an easy task for me. Besides, my native language is not English. Therefore, whenever I name an artwork, I usually check the meaning of a chosen word in my dictionary and I explain my intended meaning of the titles in the descriptions just in case I might’ve chosen wrong words for my intended meaning.
When I tried to name this work, I loved the word “Grace.” So I looked it up in the dictionary. My favorite definition read “Simple beauty, esp in movement.” I loved “Simple beauty” but I thought this painting lacked movement. Curves suggest movement and there’re no curves in this painting. I thought if “especially in movement” meant that movement was not a necessity in the meaning of the word “Grace,” it would be okay to call it Grace. I thought about choosing another word for the title. But it was really strange. I didn’t like other words. I felt like Grace suited the image very well. I loved the way it sounded, the way it spelled and the “simple beauty thing.” I just wanted to call it Grace. That’s all :D If you think I chose the wrong word, please forgive me and take it as a proper name or a symbol. I hope you understand my poor English.
If you see or feel anything in this painting, let me know by leaving a comment. I’d really appreciate your opinion. If you want to see the print's actual brightness and color, please calibrate your monitor first. Thank you very much for reading this description! :D

You are right, naming art work is like naming a baby. It's hard. That is what takes the most time for me, sometimes. Love the colors and uniqueness of this painting. Well done. L.
