Description
In my opinion, there’s no three-dimensional form in pure abstract. I think there’re only color, pattern, shape and texture in pure abstract. I might be wrong about that because I’ve received no formal training in art.
I’m a beginning artist and I have so much more to learn and experiment with. It’s still too early to say what my style is. But I’m really enjoying creating abstract art with three-dimensional forms. It’s kind of like combining abstract art with traditional art. It’s not 100% abstract because I express my feelings with 3D forms. It’s not 100% traditional art either because the 3D forms I’m using are only imaginary.
On the other hand, I like to try abstract art like other abstract artists with no forms or very little forms. Therefore, I’ve decided to do texture paintings and designs.
I’m going to create texture paintings and like to call them “Imaginary Texture Series.” In this series, I’m going to focus on imaginary textures instead of expressing any meanings or concepts. I’ve painted two variations of texture paintings named “Red Revenge.” In the painting called “Red Revenge mechanical,” you can see a mechanical pattern or layout. In the other painting “Red Revenge natural,” you can see a more natural pattern.
Like I said, the meaning or concept is not my priority with my texture paintings. The title “Red Revenge” represents only how I feel about them. I’m sure they can take on many meanings. If you see or feel anything in this painting, let me know by leaving a comment. I’d really appreciate your opinion.
If you want to see the print's actual brightness and color, please calibrate your monitor first. Thank you very much for reading this description! :D
