Description
Hailed the the "New Front Door" to Nashville, the Gateway Bridge opened in May 2004 to critical acclaim. Tennessee's first through arch bridge structure, the Gateway won the "Major Span" category of the prestigious 2005 National Steel Bridge Alliance Prize Competition. Music City honored Tennessee's Korean War Veterans (134,000+) in 2006 renaming the Gateway Bridge in their honor--Korean War Veterans Memorial Bridge. The sleek, modern arch spans the Cumberland River with a length of 1,660 feet. LED lights provide a visual treat for visitors walking Shelby Avenue pedestrian bridge or concert goers at the adjacent Ascend Amphitheater.
This fine art photograph features a digital oil painting treatment to accentuate the curves, lines, and ethereal Cumberland River reflection of the Gateway Bridge.
