Description
There is nothing so cold as riding during nasty weather. The heavy saddle prevents thw horse's body heat from getting to you and the cold creek of the leather never seems to warm. The closest I ever came to frostbite was gathering and moving some cows to better shelter from a large pasture. My feet were numb from the cold and by the time the job was done and I slid from the saddle, my feet would not work right and the pain was something else. Sigh... Glad those days are done!

This is a brilliant piece Mia. You have captured the essence of cowboy life and brought it home to all of us. It's obvious that you understand this life so well. A really fine painting. LF!!

Another fabulously moody, moving work of art, Mia ... I feel the cowboy's determination to get the job done, and get to where it's warm!!!! Beautiful sense of movement, of both the horse and that wind!!!! As always, awesome!!!! l/f and t
