Your work combines portrait and street photography in a very unique way. You really capture slices of life.

Some of the high class Monks can speak foreign languages, some of them are experts of the history, no surprise at all. Ironically we think we know more than them :-x

Wonderful! What a moment, and what a moment in time. Congratulations
Michel Verhoef replied:
Thanks...I was happy that he had an iPhone....these munks just have everything..

fantastic capture. Here in Thailand they are the same. Monks have Iphones, tablets and laptops. In the evening they chat with others on fb. Times change

LOL! Brilliant shot/capture/edit, as always... love the seemingly anachronistic elements here... I think that guy in the back does, too. ;-) V and G+

with the same usual brilliance, you capture some moments of tremendous cross-cultural significance........there is enormous socio-political amplitude in your photography Michel...you definitely should consider entering the Pulitzer....
Michel Verhoef replied:
Ha...isn't that not just for books...thanks for your kind comments and suggestion :) Omar

Wow! The clash of cultures? Or what? Great image with lots going on. The faces, gestures, lots of action and stuff to see. L/F and Featured in Street Photography.
Michel Verhoef replied:
Yes...but those monks know that they need iPhones too...lol...thanks for the feature !
