Estelle Nadeau my mother painted this wonderful floral still life as a gift for her sister Imelda DuMont. The painting was painted in 1965 by my Mom and Art teacher Estelle. Three years later(1968) after painting this beautiful flower and vase still life she passed away from Breast and Lung cancer. My aunt Imelda has also passed away more than a decade ago. My mom was 1 of 6 children, 4 girls and 2 boys. The 4 girls and one son all received their teaching certificates in the 1930's. My grandfather was a man that invented many things. He also sculpted cast iron gates, tables with cast iron and brass and glass surfaces and candelabras. He worked with terrazzo and finished his living room floor in the design of a church window with lead inlays separating each window section. Happy Holidays.

Dan Nadeau is a 60 year old artist that began painting 11 years ago.Dan paints in an impressionistic style and incorporates some abstract imagery in his paintings. His medium is acrylic on canvas and wood and an occasional oil painting. Landscapes and seascapes are the typical works Dan paints. Primary influences in his artwork came from his mother Estelle a great artist in her own right in the 1960's whose life was cut short by Breast and Lung cancer at the age of 56. Other influences include his maternal grandfather that worked sculpting wrought iron and brass into statues, candelabras, church crosses, gates and terrazzo designed floors featuring church window impressions.
