Description
Cypress Fall Scenery Vertical - These lovely cypress reflect their fall colors back into the waters of this Texas river. The Texas hill country has many rivers and stream with these great looking cypress along the water front that look wonderful in fall as well as spring. We love the way the roots of the cypress tree spread out into the water to capture the water and nutrients. This hill country is probably one of the most popular place for fall colors. The water is spring fed so it is clear and cold but in the hot summer months it is refreshing to cool off in the waters as the Frio river gently flows downstream. My favorite time is the fall when the bald cypress feathery leaves change colors to the yellow, oranges and red and then a rust red color which contrast nicely with the emerald green waters of the Frio river. Garner State Park has become so popular that you have to make reservation well in advance for day use in the summer.
