Description
Scenic Fall Frio River - We capture this scenic autumn frio river on one of our many trips this year into the hill country to capture the fall season in a State Park and nearby areas around. The image of the bald cypress which were turning different shades of yellow to orange, to rusty red color for the fall season and gave some nice reflections in the water we thought gave the feeling of serenity. I think this is one of my many favorites fall landscape from here from this location in the texas hill country, This fall landscape image of these wonderful cypress tree was the winning part of this image. In the Texas hill country we don't have a big fall season, but this year turn out very nice for the Texas Hill country. It is alway dependent on weather condition not being too hot or dry then we can get see some nice autumn colors in the area. In Texas we go from drought to floods not to mention the temperature can affect the color changes. So if our summers not too bad and we get a little more rain then we can see some fall colors changes on some years. If not then the leave will fall off before they change colors. Always a delicate dance with mother nature. This area along with Vanderpool, Lost Maples, Medina river area had the best colors this year. Luckily for us this year looks like we are getting some nice color. Getting to the park when it open was the best time to capture the best light. The light was soft, and with no wind the water was still and we captured some excellent reflections of the bald cypress up the Frio River in the Garner with nice blue skies and wispy clouds. Cypress trees turn a golden shade and then turn a rusty red right before they go brown and fall off. All along the Frio is a popular place and it is visited year round by many people. This area has some of the best cypress along the river. Still it worth a visit to the Texas Hill country no matter what time of year it is.
