This print is beautiful. It's a commonly depicted subject, but it is very special. The composition, tonal quality, and movement are exceptional and evocative. The piece is true to it's title... breathtaking!

I have wanted this for my pro life bulletin board at my Catholic Church and I wasn’t disappointed. It is beautiful and it has so much meaning put in a picture. A picture speaks better then words and this picture says it all. Thanks

Colorized photo from 1924
Original title: Loading railway express car
Location: New York
Original poem by Mike Savad
I remember, One December, A terrible event that happened one night;
I can remember it like it was yesterday, and I knew it wasn't right.
Recalling the sounds of a truck, and an opening door.
The unusual giggles, and something sliding on the floor.
I tip-toed downstairs, and what did i see?
Santa and his henchmen, knocking over my tree.
With a grunt and a shove, they took my gifts;
He looked back in the house and said, this one was mine, take this instead.
I was curious and wondered what it could be, I opened the box and what did I see?
It was filled with old socks! What a gyp!
Maybe I should fill them with rocks, and use them on him like a whip.
So now every year I hope he comes back, So I can trap him in very large sack;
Beat him until he's black and blue, and tell him, never steal...
About Mike Savad
My name is Mike Savad, I create one of a kind images. Photo realistic, is what people think of first. I specialize in job themes, such as Pharmacist, Doctor, Firemen, Lawyer, etc. Steampunk is another favorite. I'm certain you will find something that you will like. My art is inspired by Norman Rockwell and Paintings from the time of the Renaissance. Be sure to visit my Scene in Color section. I expertly restore and colorize black and white images. See the past come alive with color. Each image is painstakingly cleaned and repaired, colors are researched and shaded in. Images are designed to coordinate with the rest of my collection. The past was far more colorful than you would have imagined. Want something fun to do? Sometimes I hide...
