This is a small section of a very large Bird of Paradise bush in my backyard. My yard is full of these plants--perhaps the previous owner liked Hummingbirds as much as I do. The Bird of Paradise flower nectar is their staple food. Bees also love the nectar and often there is a bit of competition between the hummingbirds and the bees. Also, hummingbirds are very territorial and each large Bird of Paradise bush belongs to a different bird.

This is a painting in horizontal format, perfect for any kind of print. Because it is highly textured, canvas wrap will show that off the most.
