Description
A Child Remembers the Day the Sun Came Crashing; 2014, oil on canvas, 64.25 inches X 36.75 inches.
*Images, disproportionate and spatially inconsistent, overlap and merge with collage constructed translucence. The large orange face, occupying the essential right portion of the canvas, portrays a boy aged before his time, shown in head and bust view. What unravels before an over-sized sinking sun, part covered by an approaching blackened sky, is a circular world of memories. Young siblings and a panic-stricken mom with head in hands are caught in the memory gaze of the boy, as a faint man-father image departs into the distant haze of the landscape.
