This painting portrays hope. For although all may seem bleak, spring is on the horizon. Regeneration will occur, as healthy new leaves emerge from buds on the branches and fresh young growth on the woodland floor, turn the ground from dull browns to bright greens. The location is a wood on The North Downs, Kent, England. My homeland, to which I long to return.
