Muse Maze

I love when that first spark of inspiration hits you. How it can be a simple phrase, a facial expression, a place, or a feeling and from there the idea will spread out like oil on water. It gets bigger and bigger to the point where I must get it down on the canvas to explore it more.

Once a piece is done it's so cool to be able to look back and see how my original idea has morphed. It's not that my initial ideas was bad but it was just a starting point to create something wonderful and new. I love never knowing where it will lead to and it always an adventure in creation. The first spark is like going into a labyrinth, you know there is a wonderful image at the heart of the maze but you must find a few dead ends along the way to create it. So I forage on, backtracking at times, but I continue to change and tweak things till I'm at the heart of image. Then I will set my brush down and enjoy what I've created.

Mazeward,
Me
