Honoring the Road Block

Freedom! I hate when you have a project is clipped to your mind. Every time you draft a to-do list there is sits in the lines, nagging. I just finished up one such project that I had been meaning to finish up two months ago but life got in the way.

But did it? When I first sat down with the client they didn't have any clear ideas of what they wanted. I drew up a few ideas and they said, "Sure, that's a great idea." Then I went to work but it never felt quite right. A few weeks passed and I still wasn't done so I double checked what they wanted and their ideas where totally different from the original concept.

Back to the idea hut, I went. Found a great idea, built on it, sent them the proof and they loved it. Man, I dodge a bullet not creating something from that original meeting. The deadline may have pasted but now they have exactly what they wanted for their piece. I couldn't ask for a better deal.

Never be afraid of the drawing board,
Me
