Flawed Perfection

It's not just right. It's not just right. I hate it when my mind's eye and what I draw aren't quite right.
Too bad we, as artists, see our mistakes and misfigured portions. So we can sweat and fret about each mistake or we can do the best we can do for the moment and learn from each piece.
One of the hardest things for me to do is to make hair, well, look like hair. Within hair is not one stock color but many facets of colors to make it look real. People would see my work and love it but I would grumble about how it wasn't quite right.
Thankfully, over the years I have gotten better at it and figured out a way to have it be multicolored and textured. It's still not perfect but I can look back at my old pictures and see the improvement. I guess that's all one can hope for as an artist, strive to become better at our craft. Perfection may never come but one can always improve.

Here's to practice and patience,
Me
