Amazing - Lion

Did you ever really look at a lion? They are amazing animals. The males are so large and strong but are so lazy. They look like giant muscle bound house cats with a big muff around their necks. It is out of the ordinary that they are so strong yet the females do most of the hunting for food. I love to go watch those big cats at the zoo. I like it when they are moving around so I can see their big strong bodies proudly walk around the cage. It’s like they know you are looking at them and they are putting on a show. The last time I went to the zoo I was watching the tigers. They were happily parading in front of the crowd. And then I moved on to see the lions. The one male that I could see was so far away and he was sleeping. So, I took out my zoom lens and prepared to shoot pictures. I asked my husband to start making noise to wake him up because I was ready to start shooting. All he did was one large whistle. The lion proceeded to lift his head, look at us and yawn. Good thing I was ready. I got a few good pictures of him yawning and then he went back to sleeping, facing the other way. But – I got what I wanted – a couple of great shots. I had to paint that amazing site so everyone that wants to – can enjoy the great things in life that I see.
