I think your work is very good in general. Some pieces I like, some I don't, that's just personal opinion. In some I see some odd or uncomfortable looking positions, like the legs in Figure No 2, the expression in Life Study 2 or the stance in Kisses in the Wind. Just an odd position. The blob of color on the left of the mouth in Life Study 2 looks strange.
The work itself shows you definitely have good ability, you have talent no doubt. In the color paintings the colors are usually good, the glasses in Life Study 2 are excellent. In that one the position of the glasses too is very good, partially covering the edge of the eyelid and eye, I like that... You also use the asymmetrical points of peoples' faces to good advantage. Nobody's face is completely symmetrical and you seem to understand that and depict it in your work. Like eyebrows not exactly alike, one eyelid lower than the other, or one breast slightly lower than the other. Many artists don't realize that and try to make faces perfectly symmetrical.
Overall, very good work. I would avoid posting so many different portions of one piece. Post just the main piece, the "green box" can show the details. I happen to think the drawing of cellophane is pretty cool, it's not easy to get a good depiction of something like that or crumpled paper. It may or may not sell, who knows, but I couldn't do that...then again I'm doing good to draw stick men...
As already noted, do something about the photography. Not every artist is also a photographer, that's an issue for many of them, you're not alone.
As for your comment about giving up, I agree with Janine. Don't even think about giving up, you have some very good work here, certainly worth showing off. Some practice and refinements would help, but that can be said about almost any artist, musician, photographer, author...Myself, I'll never stop practicing or learning. I may never be good enough to suit me, but I improve all the time. Keep at it, your biggest shortcoming is the photography. Can't be good at everything...

giving up - is not an option.
It could benefit with a contrast adjustment, and there are some minor marks across the bottom. Both easily fixed in post-editing.
Additionally, if you invest in a small, inexpensive tripod from Wal Mart (and use the camera built-in timer function), I think your notice an enormous quality difference in sharpness. And if you need assistance with editing I would be happy to help.
The minor adjustments I made here took 10 minutes, and I think you'll agree the artwork has a lot of potential.
A good tip that has gone around the forums for a few years now, is to photograph your work outside on a overcast day, as the light is bounced around with cloud cover, so no harsh light on any particular part of the painting which makes sense, also use a tripod.
get a scanner, it's the way to go. flat, even light, stitch it together if you have to. all the images should be made so you can print the largest sizes. they should look just like the original image. in some cases, if the image is too small, blurred, cropped wrong, compressed wrong, noisy, etc, they won't print it. and if someone ordered it here, they will put the order on hold so you can fix it. and if you can't, the ordered is canceled.
just as an artist or someone who is trying to sell on this site? because if you want to sell, you need to add prices in the size boxes, add keywords and they should be bit brighter
i'm not great at pointing out good, so if it sounds negative it's not meant to be... on this her face is crooked, it doesn't seem to line up down the center. she doesn't seem to be scrunching her face at all, it's just not lined up right and the eye on her left, is not as shaded in dimensionally as the other one plus because it seems that it's in shadow - there should be more shadow there.
that is a really strange pose. the apple looks ok, but there are drips on the background and one looks like it hit her mouth making it look odder.
the image quality on this is so poor i can't tell what i'm looking at. i can see it's a snake, but the rest is kind of a blur. if you want us to rate your work you have to provide well scanned images. judging by this, there needs to be more shadowing under the snakes head so we can tell it apart from the pants. or the pants should have more wrinkles and texture so we can separate the elements.
photographically speaking, it looks crooked and you have crop marks. i'm guessing you shot the original scene with a cell phone, it has that look. but it does make the painting more interesting that way - a sort of life around here, and i might mention in the descriptions you should be writing for these, what year this representing. i can see a series of these for past years. the work is better in color by the way.
as a study of shape and reflection i guess it's interesting, but it's not really my cup of tea, and it's hard to imagine who would be buying it to be perfectly honest. but there is a thing for everyone so i guess those that need art in a tarp factory would appreciate it.
the price is a bit high for the smallest size.... though the thumb is eye catching. the mirror should have less contrast then the rest of the scene. it's hard to know what that it is otherwise. the expression and angle of the face doesn't seem to correspond to the reflection. nor does the hand. i guess it might be intentional, but i have no idea what the painting is about just by looking at it. like there is no couch on my side, i don't understand it. one keyword is not enough. photographically it seems soft up close, i don't know if it's soft in person, but there may be questions when it's time to print.
you should have everything in galleries sorted by topic, it makes it hard to look at all the work mixed up.
i like your painting... just do what you feel to do.. that's always work and it will be yours... You always might find people who will don't like it but always you will find people who will love it... best regards
Your work is intriguing. The only advice I would give you is to write something about each painting. Describe what's happening or tell a story - or part of a story. The comments mostly ask what is happening in the pictures.
