Change Color For Header

No matter how many times I've tried, I've been unsuccessful changing the dark color on my header. It's impossible to read the text. Any suggestions?

Are you in Edit Website Appearance / Header / Background? What happens when you try to change it?

Also, you can change the color of the text in Header / Custom #1 & #2

I just tried it again before replying and it finally accepted my changes. I kept getting "page not found."
Becky, this is very new to me. If I can ask another question that would be helpful! I have both photos and paintings and would like them to be separated (photo gallery, painting gallery)but I don't see that they are.
And I would love to hear your story! How does this work for you?
Thank you, thank you. I am embarking on a grand adventure. 😜

Yes, I think the site was having some problems today, resulting in the ‘page not found’ errors… just keep trying periodically, if that’s happening :-) Also (kinda long description here - sorry), sometimes I get sent back to a login page when I’m changing things on the Pixels site and I’m already logged in, and when I type my correct password, it says my email is incorrect. No biggie… if this happens, hit your browser back button to get back to where you were, then choose Behind the Scenes from your name menu, then click on the Website Appearance button (upper left, under General), instead of choosing Edit Website Appearance from the Edit menu.

Sometimes, oddly, when you choose Behind the Scenes from your name menu, the button that shows up on the top left under General will be Premium Features, which is what you’d see there if you chose Behind the Scenes from FAA. What’s supposed to show up there from Pixels is the Website Appearance button. If you see the other one, just repeat the process - select Behind the Scenes from name menu again - this usually changes it to the correct button.

Sorry you asked yet? LOL

To set up the galleries, be on your FAA home page, not your Pixels home page. Click on the Galleries tab, then click on Create New Gallery. Give it a name and a description, then click on Images NOT in Gallery and you’ll be able to choose which of your already uploaded images to put in that gallery and which to use as the gallery logo. Hit Submit, then go to Behind the Scenes / Default Settings, and where you see Default Tab, select Galleries instead of Images or Shop. Be sure to hit the Submit button at the bottom after you do this.

When you upload future images, scroll down the upload page and you’ll see the option for which gallery to put the image in.

Have fun!
