Sponsorships

I have a few questions: First off I read that pixels will not transfer the sponsorships from FAA.

1)Does that mean that we have sponsorships for two different sites?
2)Some of the recommended sponsorships shows that it is available and then when I click on it, it states that I already sponsor page. Whats up with that?
3)If I sponsor a page but have no keywords relating to that item, will my images show up?,,Iphone cases or tote bags for instance.
4)Do i have to have a related keyword to sponsor a page(same question)
5)I get recommended sponsorships by keywords..Can I choose my own also?
6)Can someone fix my IPAD?I just dropped it and the screen is cracked, should i give it to my wife and get a new one? LOL

Pretty sure you can get the glass replaced on the iPad.

1. yes.
2. i have no idea probably a weird glitch
3. you can't sponsor anything unless you have the keyword. the system checks that. i don't know if it checks to see if it has the product or not.
4. you need the keyword - that's how people would find you anyway.
5. the recommendations covers the other products. if you sponsor landscape, it will show you on the 3rd line if someone types landscapes. however if they use a filter - photography - you won't show up unless you sponsor landscapes photography. and so on with each product line.
6. they do make replacement screens, but i think you have to install it yourself. they still work even with a break, if you don't mind glass splinters in your fingers.

the sponsors aren't really for you. they are for the sites ranking in google. more links in, the better it ranks. that's why they don't transfer, (which is still unfair), and that's why there are so many options for each one.

what will happen is, you'll finally get done. and they will change the name again to a different name. and the process will have to start all over again.

and the bummer is - every single site - every variation of the name, needs its own sponsors. i'm not weighing in heavily in pixels because it doesn't come up readily in searches yet.

I can see that happening or reverting back to FAA. Sometimes when you establish a brand, its difficult, even detrimental to change the name..Look at Home Depot. This company is associated with Building, home improvement and etc. They would not change their name at this point. Besides,, the presence they built up on the internet is key. FAA had built up a brand that is easily seen in search engines. And, Art is an easy word to search for. Pixels is a rather new term and people looking for art wont necessarily go looking on a site with that name. IMHO.

Im sure he has discussed with others at length and I for one would be suspicious of any marketing agency that would agree to do this. But, what do I know,,I am probably completely wrong. ITs happened before and it will happen again. But it also cost me lots of $$$ to learn from my mistakes.

I think your right about the sponsorship things and pixels.

home depot did try that. we have a small mini home depot near us. and they tried calling themselves villager hardware. that is until they were sued and had to take down the name.

I did not know that,,

i think they called it that because they already wiped out the small hardware stores. and they wanted the idea of having a "small store" its about a 1/4 of the size of a normal home depot. we also have mega home depots, though not by that name.

sears bought kmart, but they were smart enough to keep the store names apart. when i think of kmart i don't think of quality.

Sears was smart..I for one dont understand the benefit of it. in 1996 when i was a dentist, I used the name "Glaser Dental". I was early enough to to the google party that I was always on its first page. Some of it due to SEO etc. but I would never of changed that. In fact I had bought other domain names at the time like bocaratondentist, delraybeachdentist palmbeachdentist and just redirected them all back to my website.. That is the way to do it..Pixels.com has no meaning to the art community. Maybe the computer company. Oh and maybe someone searching for the Movie that came out, but I dont get it...

When I "sponsor" the keyword and it successfully shows on my Google Chrome browser; it would not show on Internet Explorer.. At all. Half of the world does not use Chrome. And I didn't check if other Internet browsers pick up your "sponsored" images. Play, try to copy the link and plug it in Internet Explorer. You will see if your page looks exactly like Chrome one or different.

reversing to the broken iPad screen, it is cheaper to get new wife with the iPad than to give the old one to your current wife (at least in the medical bills savings)

I started searching for my own keywords to sponsor instead of just relying upon the site to generate in the sponsorship pages..Only took me 2 years 10 months to figure that one out..

Irina,,funny about the ipad,,Dont think she would appreciate that!!!!!especially with valentines day coming up!
