How Do You Keep Track Of Art Posted To Group Discussions?

I am fairly new to FAA. As I join more groups and post my art to their discussions, I realize its not easy to remember which art I have already posted to various discussions in various groups (often for promotion). I don't want to repeat asking for promotion for the same art work in the same discussion thread but am having a hard time keeping track. Any suggestions of how you do it? Thanks.

I don't do it. There is no point really to the promotion threads. :). Can you not just have a small notepad and jot groups down?

people won't promote your work. simple as that. you can post and post, but they won't do it, they want it done to their own work, but that's it. you have to do the work yourself advertising yourself. the promotion groups don't actually do anything at all.

Mike and Isabella, I though that when you get views on your work and especially likes, it helps boost your search rankings. Is this not so?

Not enough to worry about. The big sellers are not in promotion groups, they are off here marketing their work properly.

the views you get from other artists won't help any. they might buy, but not likely. the views you want are from buyers, not us. at one point views, comments, votes etc actually meant something. but when it was learned that those things helped in the search, everyone created groups, clubs, cliques, etc, and abused it. now it doesn't have that much meaning, but the idea persists. so while it won't hurt you to post in these groups, it won't help much either. i wouldn't waste time keeping track of any of that stuff.

the only real thing that boosts you in the search is active selling.

When you share your images in group promotion threads it's mostly for eyeballs ... the people who visit the group and click on the discussion .... and it might help with ranking the group. It does not do much for ranking your own artwork.

The best way for your work to get 'ranking' in groups is to keep them moving in and out of the groups. It puts the search BOTS to work, and you share keywords with other members images in that group to be found, short of the long ....

Here is my thread, if it might be of help, for the best way to participate in groups http://pixels.com/showmessages.php?messageid=2715314

Enjoy your day!
