Selling In Europe?

I'm still a newbie trying to figure things out... I hope somebody can help me. My parents live in Germany and tried to order some of my art. I assumed that ordering from and shipping to Germany would not be a problem but for some reason FAA won't accept their credit card nor their PayPal. They are probably going to be my best clients so it would be great this would work. Does anybody have any idea what they could have done wrong? I ordered a couple of my prints myself from the US and had no problems.
Thank you all for your input and help. It could be something very simple, but I don't know.

Thank you, Mike and Isabella. Yes, it could be that they didn't create an account or something else simple. I will ask them about the account and then have them try again. If it still won't work then I'll contact costumer service.

on some sites, typing in all caps makes something wrong, so if they did that, there is always that chance it didn't work. or do they use different keyboards there? maybe there was an extra character it didn't like. this system hates symbols like commas, that might have set something off as well.

also is it possible they were trying to create an artist account and not a collector account?

Ok, we figured it out. Dad was a victim of identity theft and the bank locked his credit cards and account. The bank caught it right away. It all got resolved now and he has a new credit card and was able to order without any problems today. I'm glad it got caught in time before there was any damage done to dad's account. This is so scary!!! But I'm relieved now that everything is OK.

Again, thank you for your advise. It turned out to be something different but I would have never even considered that... But I guess it's more and more common these days and you really have to pay attention to your credit cards charges.
