Website Question

I apologize if this question has been asked before but I searched and searched and couldn't find the answer.

I went to premium a few days ago and just now set up my website and set it up to default to galleries instead of images. My question is, how long does it take for the website page to show up if someone searches on my name?

In Google it may never show up because its essentially a duplicate of the content on FineArtAmerica.com Then again it might. The Artist Websites tend to show up more often in Yohoo!/Bing. If it shows up it will show up whenever the engines crawl it and update their indices. If it does show up in the search engines it may or may not come up at the top depending on how many other people share your name and how popular they are.

it takes 24 hours either way. but the search is sorted by how well you sell and popularity. google could take up to a year, but because the artist site is a doppleganger site - it won't show up at all unless you force the search.

be sure to add a lot more keywords than you have now, and add your own name.

Thanks for your response Adam. I should have been more specific in my question though. If you do a search of the artists name on the FAA site will it then bring up their website? I don't like that it brings up my images instead of my galleries.

It will only show your images, not your profile. If it showed profiles first then people would probably sign up and call themselves "Landscape", "Grand Canyon" "Abstract", "Sunrise" and things like that to show up at the top of the search results.

Thanks Adam and Mike and I will try to add more keywords as suggested. Not a very wordy person though, have a hard enough time coming up with titles :P

your galleries will never show up in the search. only your images. you want to send people directly to your store. not to the search. you'll have to think of something or not many will find you. list colors, objects, themes, scents, flavors, locations, etc.
