Birds on the wires - there was some distracting business on one end so I got rid of it. I tried it on the other end as well but it resulted in not quite as strong an image

Portrait of a lady dressed in costume for the Renaissance Festival at Crownsville, Maryland complete with a pet baby dragon on her shoulder and horns protruding from her brow. I added some fire and smoke emanating from the creature's mouth for effect. I also blurred the background completely and included a vignette. As a humorous comment on the event, the "Mistress Of Dragons" is also wearing modern glasses!

I have been lucky enough to visit Bryce Canyon National Park twice and it might be my favourite, at least of the "Red Rock" parks. I am fascinated by the landscape and the changing colours, especially at sunrise and sunset. One day I want to visit when there is snow on the ground.

Visiting all the USA National Parks is on my bucket list!

Another hiking photography adventure...I love boulders..

On the beach again...one of my favorite places.

I put this on Facebook with the message, "Need a new post today? Here ya go..." It got quite a few "Shares" and Comments.

My part of Ohio hasn't had much rain since June, and the flowers aren't doing well enough to photograph right now, so I started looking in the local cemeteries for interesting material. The art on gravestones and memorials is lovely and fascinating.



I now have a gallery just for Cemetery Art. Many of the main images have been cut out for use on t-shirts.

Two shots of a paper or white birch in my hometown of Edmonton.

Was out driving the other day and stopped to stretch my legs. I looked around and saw the tree reflection that I knew would make a wonderful B&W. The other 2 images I worked on today to upload

I am fascinated with found items. Items that are found outside of their normal space. These items would normally be with a group of other like items. But I found them all on their own in random places.

Feeling wacky in a dark sorta way.

I always look upward when I leave the office searching for skies like this. They always amaze me and on this day the sky was a work of art. Luckily, I work a short distance from this location, so I hiked down to the river’s edge and almost fell in with my new Nikon and tripod before making the capture.

Three Chairs With A View Of Vail ~ Colorado.....

I like putting several images together in a collage or montage. This one is pretty straight-forward, but I think it works.

I was impressed by the very eerie effect of these storm clouds approaching Boothbay Harbor, Maine where I happened to be painting with a group I belong to called the Plein Air Painters of Maine. Not enough time to paint it so took this photo instead!

I noticed this cormorant swimming with the tidal current approaching this mooring and noticed the bird would pass parallel and just behind the mooring.
The wake the cormorant was leaving behind approximated the length of trapped seaweed clinging to the mooring.
I saw an interesting juxtaposition developing and was able to capture the bird and its wake in this interesting composition as everything came together in my viewfinder,

Such great personality of this brown and white spotted cow in the middle of a yellow flowered field...perfect for fall.

This weathered antique wooden sign hangs on the side of this old building in Old Town Alexandria, VA. It shows the history of the building with each layer of paint that is revealed.

Two very different photographs, one from my first trip to California at the Santa Monica Pier two weeks ago and the other an eclipse montage from 9-27-15.

I forgot about this thread so I'm running a couple days behind. I just uploaded these photos a couple days ago but they were taken much longer ago. This first one was taken nearly a year ago in the small rural town of West Mountain, Utah.
