Will It Print?

I'm trying to get a gauge on what won't print here... I have a Sony RX100 II and before I got a full handle on it some of my photos from it are pretty soft around the edges. Most likely from having the camera set at a wide aperture (maybe 2.8 or lower).

Just curious if people think this photo would print at larger sizes given that. Or should a photo like this be limited in size, or thrown out altogether?

If you look at the statue on the left, it's a little soft. What I'm wondering is if corner softness like this would be a deal breaker.

Also would the sky in this sepia treated image be a deal-breaker? After processing it got a little grainy/blotchy. The original and b&w versions don't show quite as much graininess.

I believe the first one will definitely print! There is nothing wrong with "softness". Your image is not blurry. And parts of it are sharp, this is fine in my opinion

The second one does have a little blockieness.... You can smooth that a bit with the "soften brush" in photoshop. I would most definitely keep them on your stream and see!

i think it will print. i wouldn't call it super sharp, it looks like it has a touch of motion blur or something. but i think its ok.

the bottom
no. there is noise in the sky but that can be fixed.

Thanks guys! I really didn't want to have to get rid of the Barcelona Fountain as it was one of my favorite pictures from my trip there. But whenever I see a little blurriness/softness anywhere in the photo I'm never sure if it's usable.

I agree- I think the sky is too blocky/grainy. I'll definitely fix it tonight.

LOL Mike I think Will It Print would make a great game show. FAA should definitely host that.
