Online Art School Looking For Artists

Hi everyone! I'm Lee and have been here with FineArtAmerica for about 2 years now and really enjoy uploading my art and this is my first post in the forum. I'm not trying to spam or anything. I just wanted to say that many people I have been talking to me for a while and wished their was a place online they could teach their techniques to young artists, public sharing or their own distant students for free use. I just made that website and it's finally online. It's called Your Online Art School, it's just a simple name. We are now looking for artists who wish to sign up as teachers and share their talents in any art medium. It is set up with a choice of a live class or upload your teaching videos for private (Your own students) or open public students (Who ever wishes to join to learn more about art). It's new and just opened. If your interested the URL is http://www.YourOnlineArtSchool.com . If your not interested that's OK. I just thought I'd share this with you. Happy creating everyone. I always look forward to seeing your new works here at fine art america!

Lee,

Very nice concept. Good luck with it. Is there a charge?

My sister runs a nonprofit writing school in Boston. The school Grubstreet.org is the largest of its kind in the world.
She pays college literature professors to moonlight at her school. The classroom size is 12 students max. The economics she
found out early on work out that way. I am saying this as food for thought.

This online school platform is FREE to use. (This platform... Your Online Art School.com is a FREE educational platform) and is not affiliated with any art classes or students unless otherwise stated. All classes are created by user artists who wish to start their own art school to teach their art techniques to open public users for free, or private invited users secured by personal classroom passwords that may or may not require a small course fee designed by the teaching artist. If the classes are open public classes, feel free to join! If the classes are private please contact the teaching artist.

Great concept.

Q. Will the instructors get paid?

JC,

Free all the way around, the blurb above is from the front page of the site.

Lee,

You have some interesting digital artwork. I am a digital artist as well.

Thanks Dave for the comment I play around with digital alot. I like to take a large png format and make my work. I really like making it look like an actual painting. I wish I was better but, Practice makes everyone better. I'm glad everyone so far thinks the new website is a good concept. That puts a little pep in my step. And yes the new platform is 100% free and we do not pay instructors. If the teaching artist wants to hold a private class and wishes to be paid they have to charge their students. No money is transferred or distributed on the website (Your online art school). It's just a tool for artists that was suggested and I am providing that tool. I think when it takes off it will be an awesome place.

Sorry about this but we have to reload the script in the server. We found a bug in the script and it needs to be fixed. Plus we are thinking of adding to it. Please give me a couple of days to get it back up on the net. I'll let you know when it's back up. Sorry and thanks!
